NubiBooks is a product of Nubisoft Ltd (RC 9588280), a company registered in Nigeria with its office at PSSDC Road, Magodo Phase II, Lagos. In this policy, NubiBooks, we, us and our refer to Nubisoft Ltd. This policy explains how we collect, use, protect and share your personal information when you use the NubiBooks app and website, including our lending services.

We handle your personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 and the guidance of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

We collect only the information we need to provide our services:

• Account and identity information, such as your name, phone number, email, and business details.
• Verification information, such as your BVN, NIN and supporting documents, used to confirm your identity as required by law.
• Business and transaction information, such as your sales, invoices, receipts, expenses and stock records that you enter into the app.
• Loan information, such as the details of any loan application, assessment and repayment.
• Device and usage information, such as how you use the app, needed to keep it secure and working well.

2. Fair assessment

We assess every loan application based on the borrower's business performance and their ability to repay. Eligibility is based on real business activity recorded in NubiBooks over time, together with our credit assessment. Not every application is approved.

3. No false promises

We do not promise guaranteed approval and we do not offer instant loans. Every application is assessed on its merits.

4. Clear and transparent terms

Before you accept any loan, you will see your loan amount, your repayment schedule, all applicable charges, and your total repayment. There are no hidden charges. Detailed pricing is shown inside the application so that it is always accurate.

5. Borrow responsibly

We encourage every customer to borrow only what their business can comfortably repay. We provide clear information so that you can make an informed decision.

6. Ethical treatment and recovery

We treat every customer with respect and dignity. In recovering any amount owed:

• We will not harass, threaten or abuse you.
• We will not contact your family, friends or personal contacts to shame or pressure you.
• We will not access the contacts or media on your phone for recovery.
• We will communicate with you directly, professionally and at reasonable hours.

If you are having difficulty repaying, please contact us early. We will listen and, where possible, discuss a fair way forward.

If you are unhappy with any part of our lending, you may raise a complaint through our Complaints Procedure. We take every complaint seriously.

1. The lender

Loans are provided by Nubisoft Ltd (RC 9588280), trading as NubiBooks, with its office at PSSDC Road, Magodo Phase II, Lagos.

2. Eligibility

To be considered for a loan, you must:

• Be a registered user of NubiBooks operating a genuine business.
• Have used NubiBooks actively for at least three months.
• Pass our identity verification and credit assessment.

Meeting these conditions does not guarantee approval.

3. Loan amount

Eligible businesses may access working capital of up to 6 million naira, and more as their business grows, based on business performance and our credit assessment. This is the maximum amount available, not a guaranteed amount. The amount you qualify for depends on your assessment.

4. Repayment period

Loans are offered over repayment periods of 1 to 3 months.

5. Charges and total repayment

All applicable interest and charges are disclosed to you inside the application before you accept a loan. You will see your loan amount, your repayment schedule, all charges, and your total repayment before you accept. There are no hidden charges.

6. Repayment

You agree to repay your loan in line with the repayment schedule shown to you at the time of acceptance. You may repay early without penalty.

7. Late or missed payments

If you miss a repayment, we will contact you to help you get back on track. Continued non payment may lead to the reporting of your account to a licensed credit bureau and other lawful recovery steps. All recovery is carried out fairly and in line with our Responsible Lending Policy. We will not harass you or contact your personal contacts.

8. Your information

Your data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. By applying, you consent to the use of your information for identity verification, credit assessment, and the operation of your loan.

9. Cancellation

You may decline a loan offer at any time before you accept it. Once accepted, the loan and these terms take effect.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

11. Disputes and complaints

If you have a concern, please use our Complaints Procedure. We aim to resolve every complaint fairly and promptly.

5. If you are not satisfied

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the relevant regulator. For data protection concerns, you may contact the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. For consumer protection concerns, you may contact the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
